Self Evaluation of My Academic Year 2009

The evaluation of my academic year 2009 that I do is very good, because this year I have different subjects, and these have been very interesting for me, and very exciting too.

A situation that happened to me was that I me extracted better notes of what was waiting, and it was spectacular! But what had happened if I did not have these results? My end of year would be a calvary!! Do not you believe it?

I think that this academic year has been very difficult, but I believe that the next one will be worse...I hope that I am wrong.

The best of both term was the practice, because I have the opportunity to share with different kids, and this was a very nice experience. I think that we can learn in the classroom of childrens is the best thing can be happen in life. The children in many times are my reason to smile every day, for this reason that I smile a lot this year, for I have been fortunate to be surrounded by children many days.

Another interesting aspect in this year was the meetings, workshops and symposia have been organized at my faculty of Social Sciences, which give us new entertaining and educational didactic experiences. And we can meet people related to education in Chile and other countries that visit us.

Meaning the international, I had to share much of the semester with two special people who traveled from Europe to learn in Chile through the process of "Students exchenge". I hope that this exchange student not be so difficult for them, as I think it will be for me next year. Because it begins the seminar grade and difficult classes like math! But I think it all depends on personality, so each face up the challenges that are approaching.
----
Finally, I think the point mentioned above is the most important, is the key to success to success over each academic year. Because the secret is know that we are responsible for everything in our lives, with this thought we have won much ground in all areas of knowledge. Because our imagination is an extremely powerful tool. Nothing else we needs to believe in ourselves!! This is the only way! In this way we can get any change in the results in our lives (triumph).

I can say you that: We can do, be and have anything we want! Only we must have faith and trust.

Challenges in my Discipline

Currently, in my discipline has different challenges connected to each of the following areas:

- Technology: In education tthere are more and more challenges in the classroom, because the kids now have others requirements faced to cyber space, the kids enjoy the cyber games, the web pages of Messenger or comunication in general. Like this, the teacher must be revitalized, and must learn about cyber space to innovate our class using TIC´S (Tecnology and information of Comunication)

- Social Matters: This carrer is conected with this issues very much, because we have the possibility of going to a professional practice starting from the first year, and get aquantied with the school reality, the true challenge is to help of each kid, and trust in them.

- Education: The challenge in this point is to improve the quality education, and work for that!

End of ANEF strike

Today ANEF announced the end of their strike. This occured this morning in the headquarter of United Central Worker (CUT), it was remarkable because this strike began the present monday, to pressure the gobernment and congress to increase the wages settlement in the public sector.



Sixteen unions were involved in it as CONFUSAM ( confederation of health government employee local) or Registry Office.

Raúl de la Fuente, Anef president, says: "For the public employee this is a victory"

This piece of news will affect my community, my city, and my country because the government proposed an increment in wages, and extra month's salary payment for Christmas and one for our national celebrities in September, and more bonus.

I read this peace of news on Internet and I would like to read this, because it is a very good peace of news for every public employee as my father!

Improving my Faculty Facilities

The current situation in my Faculty is the precary of it improves, because the classrooms are small as the library,the casino is expensive, the batrooms the most times haven´t hygienic paper, etc... All this things need improvement to go in benefit of all the students of this Faculty.

My first steps to dealing with this situation would be: Send a petitonary to the Dean,explaining this situation to him, and coming to some agreement about this problem that matters for all. In this way I could resolve this situation across the dialog.

The real benefits or impact of these improvements could be:

-To improve the quality of life of all members of this Faculty (students, teachers, administrative officers and civil servants).

-To improve the infrastructure of the Faculty to achieve a better look of the external agents (such as exchange international students, civil people, etc.)


A further recommendations:

To achieve our offers across the dialog, the hope and especially the witness!

New York kids: School or street life

Wednesday April 8th 2009

The TASS state school in Manhattan attends kids from housing projects in the poorer neighbourhoods of the East Village.

Mike Goodwin (teacher of this school) thinks this: The art, yoga and being a good listener help to distract pupils from the culture of drugs and gangs waiting for them outside the school!

Teachers help kids to express themselves. Create a teaching programmes in drama, music and visual arts. The kids can even do yoga in their music class. Because this programm is complementary with each subject.

The students love the interaction and the small group ,and they like communicating maths,lenguages, sciences and history through a piece of visual art or music. It's more creative than learning in traditional way.

Election day

I registered to vote, because I think that it is very important. The vote is a reflection of my opinion in front of the Chilean society.

My opinion on electoral campaings is very negative, because the politician are corrupted. All the campaigns are surrounded by people that all they are interesed in is making money. And to get more power. And they fight among each candidature team , and they don´t give better proporsals.

I think that a person running for president must have different qualities such as honorability, admirable, trustworthy , intelligent,etc.

I don´t considered to become a politician ever, but my family does, because they think that I have many qualities of a politician such as the negotiation power, the dialogue with other people, the initiative, etc.

If I had the chance, I would like to work in ministry of Environment, to preserve our nature, animals and natural resources. Because these topics have been forgotten.

In my country there are many problems that require an immediate solution like:

-The education (better education)
-Equity (more equity)
-Delinquency ( Decrease the delinquency)
-The laws (more justice)
-The economy (access to basic necessities)

Criminal Laws

I think that Capital punishment isnt`t a good solution to reduce criminality, because we are not people to judge. Only God can judge us. I think that it is better to train criminals for a special area, and they will be able to insert themselves in the laboral life, and they leave the bad accions.

The pros and cons in Capital punishment are:

Pros (+)

- The criminal never come back to hurt somebody.
- The families afected have a rest and consolation.

Cons (-)

- We are not people to judge to other people, because we are human, and we make mistakes.
-The families of a criminals will sufer very much.


The government should give more laboral posibilities to reduce criminality rates in Santiago, because the people wouldn`t need to cheat or steal anything, because they have their own money.

The origin of the increasing criminality rates in Chile are the financial and economical inequalities, because the people in too many ocasions don`t have the suficient adquisitive power to get things. And in this time, this power moves the entire world.

I have been a victim of burglary pick pocketing many times, and this makes me angry. Also, in one oportunity a gypsy stole me $10.000!!! It is a fraud, because she said to me that my family doesn`t love me, and the world is bad, and a lot of nosenses!

Anyway, I think that having another way to resolve the social problems in a good way...

What to do? Where to go in Santiago?

If you come to Santiago, you must visit in the heart of city centre the palace of government called: "La Moneda", this is a very beautiful construction opened in 1804. You can walk in the interior yards of this building and in a special day of the year, called "the day of cultural patrimony" on 25th of May you can go inside of the Palace and visit the diferent lounges and halls.

Another very entertaining place is the MIM "Interactive Museum Mirador", this is an interactive museum, and very didactic too. For all ages! This place is located in the south of city four blocks away from Mirador Subway.

Regarding relaxing places you must visit "Balthus Spa" it is the biggest Spa in Chile, located in the north of City in the neighbourhood of Vitacura. It is a beautiful place with a covered swimming pool, jacuzzi,ice salon, water vapour salon, sauna, solarium, gym and beautiful salon! And also you can go for a massage! You leave the spa feeling healthy and better!

At night, Bellavista neighbourhood is a very good place to go out at a party or drink some, it is a very good option to meet new people!

You must also visit the Central Market in the center of city and eat a traditional dish, for example: a paila marina (for the hangover), a cazuela, a paila marina, a Chilean salad accompanied with a traditional wine.

My experience in High School

I went to high school in a school called Santa Cruz located in Santiago Centro (Nataniel Cox with Victoria). This school offers personalized education. I went to this school during 5 years, since 2001 to 2005.

My experience in this school was very good. Because y knew many beautiful people. A think that I can remember was the support of my philosophy teacher. She was a very good teacher , she taught me many things, and she was very nice with me.

Other thing that I never forgoten was my group of friends called "Tartaris" they was (and still they are) very important to me. They always been with me in all dificults moments of my life, situations like the death of my grandmother last month...

The technology in my high school was very well, we had computers a proyection room for power point presentations, and a wide and modern library.

The bad points in my high school experience was a period of mi life that I didn´t like, because I had a period of depression, and all things seemed bad. Everything looked different through the depression eyes...

I say to our authoroties is improve the quality of education in this country,
implementing attractive and innovative methods in schools and providing teachers committed to their teaching.

Transantiago: Before and After

I have a divided opinion about Transantiago, because it is good in some points, and bad in other points. In fact, the system changed a lot, and this is very good for the environment and also for the economy of Santiago residents.

Now, this system is better than “Yellow buses”, because the bus stop has been put in order: With the route of each bus, the colors of each zone in a system call:
“Segregated bus stop.”

But, the problem with this new system is the long wait in the bus stop during peak hours every day . The razon? The precarious implementation of new and old buses, because the total number of buses decreased.

I still remember the date when Transantiago started. Transantiago began a: 10 February of 2007. This buses were completely unknown for the people, and everything was collapsed, because nobody knew for certain which bus we should take, and ask to somebody who work in Transantiago. These persons gave maps, and instructions to keep all in order and every bus itinerary was clear.

Now the system has been improved.

A country I would like to visit

I would like to go to México, because it is a very special place for me. I know many things about it because my parents lived there in the period of dictadure. In fact my big brother was born in a place called “Tulancingo” in the field.

The most exciting place is the Aztecs pyramis , because they are amazing and beautiful . And the people (in my opinion) is very nice and simple.

Other thing that I like very much is the mexican food, splecially the “Tacos”, with a great variety of sauces, cheese, chicken or met. But my favourite one is the “Burrito” with melted cheese.

I like to do many things: In the beginning to share with my mexican family, and to know the museums, the universities and the different landscapes. Also I would like to know and share with different people , especially with rural people.

I would be delighted to be able to study, my dream is to go away as exchange student for a semester, and after that to come back to my country to finishing my career studies.

In a future I would like to return to México to work with the rural people, and teach and to be able to teach at childrens in a local school.
Finally, my plan is to live in Mexico and to know them customs and traditions.

My experience in the first term 2009

The most relevant things that I learnt and I studied last term was to make qualitative investigations , to find and know our social environment through a new perspective that incorporates the understanding , the skills and cognitives competences that foster the students learning in the classroom.

I didn´t do any sports last term because my timetable didn´t math up with the campus sports. But in my free time I went eversy Saturday to scouts, and share with the kids and leaders to this organization. In fact we celebrated our Aniversary number fourteen with the parents of kids, and we ate a mexican snacks called “Tacos”. This was a very enjoy celebration!

I had to faced to the finish of term, because at the end of the term, the subjects was very difficult because I had to make a lot of individuals and group workings. And finally, I gave all Works. I ended up feeling very tired! But to be worth it.
After all my efortt, the best was I can do what ever I like, and I visited to my best friend, and share with a french friend call Mathilde because she stay in this town for the winter vacations.

Also, I could share more time with my family, and I could to enjoy my new house.
And I organized a party family, and all enjoyed this time toghether.

SECOND TERM

My blogging experience

I was accustomed to the traditional classes in that the teacher explains the matter and the student annotates anything. But this one was a new and gratificant experience, because we could work from our house using a technological tool us Internet.

I never had a blog, but I was thinking before because my best friend and I wanted to make a blog together where we were writing our experiences of the life and to be able to put our links of interest.But finally we never make concrete it.

Now I think that the blogs are an interesting tool to learn English not only of autonomous form but of collective form.

It has been a great experience! In where also I have learned of my partners of course.

My ideal job

My ideal job would be to work of independent form, with my own goals and schedules. The most important thing would be to work in touch with the people, and with your childrens. And to be able to teach, to play, to sing,to create with them.

This work would be located in a place of dream: with extensive parks, very animals, with exquisite climate, in which the childrens could enjoy.

Finally to this place there might accede the families of any sector economic associate. Therefore in this place the community would share as a whole.

This one is my ideal work.

My favorite subject

My favorite subject was "Comprensión del medio social".

This subject it was given the first semester of this year.
And it was very special because the teacher Rodrigo Sánchez showed us the principal failings that this subject has because the plans and programs do not contain enriched knowledge accord to the educational needs of the childrens.This point es very important, because are the childrens those who need to learn and to know about of the world in which they live.

It is necessary to stand out, that was the teacher gave to us many approximations of this subject, and him always was worried and he brings over of our learning process,delivering us tools to improve every day. And this is very important in our formation us teaching training.

Explaining school to an Alien

Every kind of education in the world have the same subjects! Mathematics, Languages Humanities, Arts and Music. Teachers don’t dance for example. It doesn’t have body experiences. Only teach only the principals subjects. Public education produces universities professionals. And academic abilities’. Universities design a system around the world based in create people brilliant and intelligent but there is unvalued or stigmatized because they never get a work in which they do what they like.

Radically rethink our view of intelligent

In the next thirty years, according to UNESCO more people well be graduated since the beginning of history, and technology will be accumulate. And demography explodes de population.

Now the kids conform to play video games in our home. This is an example of instructional education.

Intelligent is dynamic, intelligent is wondering interactive; in fact creative is an interaction of multiple disciplines.

People have to move to think!

My future

I want travel arround the world, I want to know many places in diferents countries, specially: Greece and Mexico. During my studies I would like to join some exchange program for students and study few months abroad. It would be absolutely perfect, because of get some experience with foreign it´s nice. Next I would like to achieve is to learn fluently French and English. It’s necessary, because the official language in the European Union is those lenguages.

Also, I want to be a good teacher . I love kids, and I am sure that to be a teacher is what I want.
I am just so excited to get started and am counting the days until I can walk into my own classroom and meet my first students!

After get some experience if is possible I would like to create my own school or Kinder garden, it would be an interesting experience.

And after that I want to be a good mother someday, and I want to have childrens, and to shape a pretty family.

My career pre school and primary education

To begin with I wasn´t very convinced to enter in this career, in fact this was my third option. The reason? I always liked differents areas, for example: Art, music, theatre, humanities, journalism, botanik, etc. This made me difficult to make my final decition.

I think that finally it was the destiny which brought me where I am today. Once i got here (studing the career) I realised that this is a very integral career because it complements different areas of knowledge such as : psychology, anthropology, sociology,english, etc. This makes a multidisciplinary career.

Another thing that I liked was that it is a career with a very wide future work field , because after finishing pre-grade, I will be able to develop my career by myself in the schools and classroom world, in investigatives lines, or also I will be able to work in ONG or in gubernamental departments (in national or international levels)

I like my career very much because this have a strengless of implement a participative observation practice begin first grade in the university. Where? In differents private or public kinder gardens or schools, this helps us to find if is this the area in where we want to develop for the rest of ours lifes.

I dislike about my career is this have to much teory, and a few didactic, and this doesn´t help me face up to the practice.

Many people say that: "The vocation is something that to cultivate from early age", I think that the vocation can appears in every moment of ours life, even when less you wait for it.

With the time I have realized that the childrens are my razon for smile every day and my professional expectation for the future is will do it all that me depend for to contribute in childrens development.

The best in my area

The best in my area is Silvia Schmelkes, she is a Mexican sociologist of proffesion, she has a mastery of Educative Investigation for the Iberoamerican University. She has a lot experience in this area.
She has worked as teacher and as investigator in the Department of Educative Investigations and Center of Educative Investigation and advanced studies , from 1994 to 2001.

Actually, she is general coordinator of intercultural and bilingual education in the Public secretary of education in México.

She has published near a hundred of works, among books and articles. She has been consulting of UNESCO, UNICEF, and even of OEA.

For everything above mentioned previously she is a referent for me. Because her wisdom and determination are deign of admiration.

My MP3

My favorite technological object is my Mp3, because across this one i can listen every kind of music, and i can listen my favorites radio stations. In addition i can record differents conversations or classes. Also, i can save files of a computer, important to me as like: photos, texts for the University, letters of songs,etc.

This object is very practical because is a smaller than a CD Player and it is very comfortable and transportable.

It is a great technological invention!

My mom and i

This photograph is very important to me, because is one of the few photographs i got with my mom. Why? Because my mom called Emilia was die when i was seven months.

So, I like very much saw this moment:
She was took me in her arms and she was smiling me. Is a very beautiful image that i would like remember.

She is a important person for me, because she care of me and she loves me very much, and I think that she cares of me from the sky.

Even though i can`t remember to my mother,because I was a baby when she died, she will be important for me always .

My last vacation

I went to the south of my country, a place called "Bullileo", near by Parral .

I went there, in the beginning of January, and I stayed there for fifteen days. The place was beautiful, with many animals and nature, there was a dam and a waterfall.

I went there with a small group of scouts (ten kids and five adults).

I did many things there: diferent kind of games, outdoor activities, reflexive activities, dances and singings, and I cooked for ourselves.

The weather was very nice, the sun was shining and warming. There was sun every days of the trip.

The moment I will never forget about is every nights looking at the stars and talking with the kids.
We were also around of a small bonfire and we did had nice conversations eating mashmellows.

My best friend

My best friend is Ariel.

I met him in a scout camp in the 2001 year. In 2005 we had to do a activity together in a group camp, and we act as Mr. and Ms. Mouse ( based in story of disney world). And we laughed very much.

My dearest memory about him is our moments walking down the streets of Santiago and our conversations about the future and how we will construct it.
I like many things about him, but the most significant are he is nice, tender, intelligent, understanding ; and in general a very good friend.he is always there when i need him. I dislike his unconcern sometimes, he suddenly disappears in my life, but i take charge from that he returns.

I don´t remember a greatest adventure with him, but every meeting is a surprise. I remember for example, my vacations two years ago in south of Chile in Villarrica , i was traveling with my boyfriend and surprisingly i found with my best friend, and he was camping in the same place that I!

I don´t envy anything about him,because i admire all his strength and weaknesses.
If i would give him all my enthusiasm and my optimism when racing the problems of the life.

I am a student of 3º year, and I study education in Universidad de Chile.
I like read, listen music, to get out with my friends and family and think in the world.
My astrological sign is scorpio, and my zodiac year is rabbit.
